Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

Previous editions: Hazenbos 2003: 71-73.

obv. 6′: Hazenbos 2003: 71 reads “AN.BAR x-ti-ir[-,” but notes (fn. 48) that the exclamation mark in Carter’s copy may suggest that he thought of reading UṬI here.

obv. 12′: The signs as traced in the copy may be best read as [NA₄Z]I.⸢KIN(?) NINDA? šu-uḫ⸣-z[i](?) ⸢ŠA D?⸣x[ {G:…} ], but a list of offerings “at the altar” is expected here. The traces are hardly legible in the available photo.
